Description
The tour starts with pick-up at Avenida dos Aliados in Porto aboard a modern black van with a Vibe Transfer license plate. As you leave the city, the landscape transitions into the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The first stop is São Leonardo da Galafura observation deck, offering panoramic views of terraced vineyards and the Douro River. This location is ideal for photographs and appreciating the valley’s geography.
Next, you visit a traditional wine estate where experts explain the history and production of DOC Douro and Port wines. You will walk among vineyards, see wine presses, and finish with a tasting of 3 to 5 selected wines in an authentic setting.
After the estate visit, the tour continues to Peso da Régua, where you have free time to explore, enjoy a coffee, or buy regional products. Then, embark on a one-hour Rabelo boat ride on the Douro River, passing riverside hills and estates unique to the region.
On the return to Porto, you travel along National Highway 222 with opportunities for photo stops. The tour concludes back at Avenida dos Aliados.
