Description
The tour begins with hotel pickup in Porto, followed by travel to Pinhão, a village in the Douro Wine region. Pinhão is known for its azulejo-adorned railway station depicting local scenes. You can briefly explore the town and enjoy a coffee by the river.
Next, embark on a one-hour solar-powered boat tour on the Douro River near Pinhão. The boat ride includes two wine tastings and showcases the UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscapes, terraced vineyards, and historic sites from the water sustainably.
Then, travel along National Road 222 from Pinhão to Régua, one of Portugal’s most scenic drives, offering views of the Douro Valley’s vineyards.
A 3-course lunch with drinks is served at a local restaurant specializing in traditional Portuguese cuisine, featuring meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan options. The restaurant also offers panoramic views of the surrounding nature.
After lunch, visit Quinta da Seara D'ordens winery. The host will guide you through the estate’s history, vineyards, and wine cellar, explaining the wine production process and terroir. The tasting includes two Douro DOC wines (white and red) and three Port wines (Ruby, Tawny, and White).
The tour concludes with a comfortable return transfer to your hotel in Porto.
