Description

Meet your guide at the Praça Gomes Teixeira, also known as the Lion's Square, and go for a walk through the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For those who don't have much time but want to see Porto's essential sites, you can see the main landmarks of the city on a quicker route. Pass by the Lello & Irmão bookstore, frequented by J. K. Rowling. Then visit the Clerics Church. Shortly after, arrive at São Bento Railway station built on the site of a former Benedictine convent inside the walled city. This is also one of the landmarks of the city and one of the most well-known stations in the world. Then see Carmo and Carmelitas church and learn about its history. Go on to visit the Old Relation jail and see Porto's main avenue. You will also visit the Cathedral and go explore the alleyways around Porto.  Your tour will end in the Ribeira area.
