Description

The tour begins with a meeting point in Porto before heading into the Douro Valley. The route includes a scenic loop along the N323, offering views of the river and terraced vineyards lining the hills.

If you select the 2 wineries option, the first visit is to a small, family-owned winery where the winemaker presents their craft. Here you will taste Douro reds and whites, local olive oil, and other artisanal products rooted in tradition.

Next, the tour continues to Pinhão, a quaint village where you board a one-hour boat cruise on the Douro River. This peaceful glide offers a unique perspective of the valley’s landscape. (For the 1 winery option, this is the first stop.)

After the cruise, the trip follows the N222 road, famed for its scenic beauty along the river and hillsides.

The final stop is at a second intimate family winery nestled in the valley. You will enjoy a home-style Douro lunch paired with wines from the estate, where each dish is thoughtfully matched to complement the local wines.

Following lunch, an in-depth visit to the vineyards and cellars reveals traditional winemaking techniques passed down through generations.

The tour concludes with a return to Porto at approximately 6:00 PM.
