One of our most distinctive features is being the only venue where you can experience two distinct ensembles performing both Fado traditions in one intimate show. As you enter, you'll immediately notice the absence of raised stages and microphones. Here, the boundary between performers and audience disappears—artists sing just meters away, allowing you to experience every subtle emotion and nuance of this soulful Portuguese art form. Your one-hour journey begins with Coimbra Fado, a style that beautifully bridges popular and classical traditions. Created and preserved by university students, this elegant variation reflects themes of youth, poetry, love, and longing. Some of Porto's finest groups will share their instrumental prowess and heartfelt songs. In the show's second part, you'll experience the renowned Traditional Fado—pure, authentic, and non-commercial—performed by artists who have devoted their lives to this powerful expression of Portuguese soul.
