Description
This full-day sightseeing tour of Porto combines land and water experiences. Porto, located at the mouth of the Douro River, is the capital of Northern Portugal and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 due to its exceptional architectural heritage.
Visit key historical sites including the imposing Porto Cathedral and the Tower of Clerics. Explore Cais da Ribeira square to see the pastel-colored houses lining the riverfront promenade. Across the river lies Vila Nova de Gaia, known for its port wine cellars. Here, you can taste several varieties of port wine in a cellar where the wines are blended and aged.
Afterward, take a cruise on one of the traditional rabelo boats, traveling under six historic bridges that link Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. This boat type was historically used to transport wine from the Douro Valley. Your guide will provide a voucher after the tour, allowing you to enjoy the Six Bridges Cruise independently at a later time.
