Description
Discover Porto, located at the mouth of the Douro River and capital of Portugal’s Northern Region. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996, the city features exceptional architectural heritage. Visit key landmarks such as the imposing Porto Cathedral and the Tower of Clerics.
Explore the Cais da Ribeira square, where pastel-colored riverfront houses line the promenade. On the opposite bank, Vila Nova de Gaia offers views of port wine cellars. Sample a selection of port wines in a cellar where the wines are blended and aged.
Experience a cruise aboard a traditional flat-bottomed rabelo boat, passing under six historic bridges connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. The cruise follows the route once used to carry wine from the Douro Valley.
