Description

We'll start the day by picking you up directly from your hotel, so you don't have to worry about a thing. Our first stop will be Guimarães, considered the cradle of Portugal, where the country's first king was born. Here, you'll visit the imposing Guimarães Castle, a symbol of the foundation of the Portuguese nation, and the elegant Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, a 15th-century palace full of history and art. After the visit, you'll have some free time to explore the charming historic center of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its medieval alleys, picturesque squares, and traditional facades. We'll then head to Braga, one of Portugal's oldest cities with a strong religious tradition. Your first stop will be at the stunning Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, known for its monumental Baroque staircase and romantic gardens. You'll have time to stroll through the gardens and enjoy the magnificent views over the city. Next, we'll visit the imposing Braga Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the country, with origins in the 11th century. Before heading back to Porto, you'll have some free time in Braga's historic center, where you can shop, take photos, or just relax in one of its typical cafés. We'll wrap up our day by heading back to Porto, where you'll be dropped off at your hotels with all the comforts.
