- You'll visit small Portuguese producers, far from mass tourism.
- Our guide is a local with a wealth of knowledge about the Douro Valley and its wines
Description
We aim to offer a unique cultural experience for those who appreciate wine and the work of Miguel Torga. It all starts in Régua, where, in the morning, we'll head to a Quinta da Região.
Here you'll have the chance to taste 5 wines, visit a rustic Quinta in the region, and get to know a little more about the work of the people who brought their name to the Douro.
Next up is a visit to the São Leonardo de Galafura viewpoint, a landmark in the region with a privileged view over the entire Douro valley.
Always accompanied by our guides, you'll head to a family estate in the region where lunch will be served. You can count on a traditional lunch featuring typical Portuguese dishes.
After lunch, we'll hop on a cruise along the Douro River, sailing between the
Régua and the village of Pinhão. Here you can enjoy one of the most picturesque landscapes in the Douro region.
You'll be disembarking at Cais do Pinhão around 5:00 PM. After some free time to explore the area, a charming train ride along the riverbank follows.
Get ready for a sublime journey filled with breathtaking landscapes and authentic Douro flavors!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Between November and March, the Douro dams are closed to navigation, making it impossible to take the boat-ship route between Régua and Pinhão. During this period, the trip will be replaced by a 1-hour rabelo boat ride in Pinhão, still allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Douro Valley and the river (Boarding at 3:30 pm at the Pinhão pier and disembarking at 4:30 pm at the same location
The train leaves Pinhão train station at 5:15 PM and is expected to arrive at Régua train station at 5:41 PM.
