Description

The tour begins in Régua with a morning departure to a local winery where you will taste 5 wines and visit a traditional estate. Learn about the history and work of the people who shaped the Douro region.

Next, visit the São Leonardo de Galafura Belvedere viewpoint for an overview of the Douro Valley. Then travel to a local family estate for a traditional Portuguese lunch prepared by the estate owner, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

After lunch, enjoy a cruise along the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão (April to October). From November to March, the boat tour is replaced by a 1-hour rabelo boat ride in Pinhão due to closed dams.

Return to the Pinhão dock around 5:00 PM, with some free time to explore before boarding a scenic train ride along the riverbank to Régua.
