The tour departs from a calm riverside area away from busy city traffic but near key landmarks. You will see tile-decorated churches, cathedral domes, and palm trees from the Crystal Palace gardens. In the calmer waters near the riverbank, you can photograph the D. Luiz I Bridge, traditional rabelo boats, and the Serra do Pilar hill.
