Don’t miss the opportunity to explore two of Portugal’s most charming cities – with all the comfort and convenience! We’ll begin the day by picking you up directly from your hotel, so you won’t have to worry about a thing. From there, we’ll head toward Coimbra, with a short stop along the way to stretch, use the restroom, and enjoy some fresh air. In Coimbra, we’ll visit the world-renowned University of Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in Europe, founded in 1290 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll also explore the beautiful Botanical Garden, where you’ll have free time to walk around, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Next, we’ll take a guided walk through the charming old streets of the city, where you’ll see the impressive Sé Velha (Old Cathedral), the Church of Santa Cruz, and take in stunning views of the Mondego River. (Guests can choose whether they prefer to enjoy their free time for lunch in Coimbra or in our next destination, Aveiro) We’ll then continue to Aveiro, often called the “Venice of Portugal.” There, we’ll explore the picturesque city center before enjoying a relaxing Moliceiro boat ride through the city’s canals — a perfect opportunity to learn more about Aveiro’s history while enjoying a different perspective of its beauty. Finally, we’ll make our way to Costa Nova, where you’ll see the famous colorful striped houses and admire the stunning coastline and beaches — a perfect ending to a day full of culture, history, and unforgettable experiences.
