Step aboard Flusen, a cozy 30-foot boat, and discover Porto from the place where the city truly began: the Douro River. Your local skipper Luís grew up by this water and welcomes you as if you were friends. After meeting at the marina and boarding the boat, you set off along the river between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. As you cruise slowly, you pass under the city’s 6 iconic bridges, with unique views of Ribeira, the Port wine cellars and the colorful old town rising above the banks. At booking, you choose whether you prefer a shared small-group cruise or a private experience, as well as daytime or sunset. Daytime trips are relaxed and bright, ideal for photos and families. Sunset departures are more romantic, with golden light, reflections on the water and the city lights slowly turning on. You can also decide if you want to add a Port wine tasting. With the tasting option, you’ll enjoy 4 different Port wines from local producers, served on board with small bites to match the flavors. It is not a technical or formal tasting – Luís explains the basics, but the focus is on enjoying good wine, good music and good company. With a maximum of 10 guests, there is plenty of space to move around, sit at the bow, take photos or simply relax and watch the river scenery. Throughout the cruise, Luís shares stories and tips about Porto, the bridges and the local way of life. • The boat’s maximum capacity is 10 guests. All guests, including children and babies, must be booked and counted in the total. On shared options, the price is per person for every age – there are no free child seats. Access to the boat involves steps and may not be suitable for guests with very reduced mobility. This cruise takes place on the Douro River in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia (not the Douro Valley). Pets are only allowed on private options, not on shared group cruises. Please arrive at the meeting point 10–15 minutes before departure. The tour runs in light rain; in case of unsafe weather or river conditions, we may reschedule or refund. Bring a light jacket or windbreaker – it can feel cooler on the river, especially at sunset.
