And don’t sleep on Rua Cândido dos Reis; it’s a playground after midnight with a good mix of locals and students. Pro tip: if you want a more authentic feel and fewer tourists, head to the Foz area on a weekday. Bars like Casa do Livro offer a chill vibe by the sea, with some killer cocktails.

It’s easy to get lost in Porto’s nightlife maze but don’t rush. The city loves its slow nights, and sometimes the best memories come from the smallest bars where the bartenders know your name and the music fits your mood. Bonus: public transport runs late, but a 15-minute Uber will get you home safely if you end up out past 3 a.m.
